The Krikor Chetinyan Memorial Award was established in 2021. It is given each year to one of the active participants in the master class, during the final concert. The selection of the winner is at the discretion of the workshop faculty, and is based on the following criteria:
- Overall improvement and growth, shown during the workshop
- Conducting technique
- Personal motivation
- Overall preparation for the workshop sessions
